The basis of the retreat is Mindfulness Meditation from a metaphysical standpoint. It’s all about the truth - no woo-woo!
Although this is a Christian-based retreat, it is open to all.
Come and gain insights from us then go out and make an impact. You will learn Mindfulness Meditation both for your own benefit, and so that you can help others.
What Is Mindfulness Meditation?
Mindfulness meditation brings you to a space of total awareness; releasing, but accommodating sensory perceptions by focusing on the present.
Practitioners achieve this state by focusing their attention on their breathing. After a while, meditators gain physical increases in the number of neurons and neuronal connections in sections of their cortex. Those sections are: the right frontal cortex, related to concentration; the right insula, related to emotions; and the right parietal and temporal lobes related to touch and sound.
A recent study also demonstrates that after eight weeks, brain imaging showed reduction in the volume of the amygdala - related to anxiety and stress - and an increase in the number of neurons in the hippocampus, related to learning and memory.

The Mindfulness Meditation Course
Enjoy the peace and relaxation of a therapeutic holiday by the sea while improving your health in body, mind and spirit. The mindfulness meditation course takes place in the morning from 10 to 1pm.
As part of the mindfulness meditation programme you will learn to breathe correctly in order to create a clear mind and a healthy body; the benefits of neuroplasticity.

Anna has been described by holiday guests as very pleasant and efficient but most of all, warm and friendly. It has also been said that she puts a huge effort into doing what she has to do.
As an experienced practitioner in many forms of holistic therapy, a Reiki master and ITEC qualified therapist, Anna is passionate about sharing her knowledge with others on the road less travelled.
She is a qualified Metaphysician and can regale you with insights on applied metaphysics.
Anna qualified in mediation as well as conflict resolution and enjoys working in the Bournemouth Community Mediation Service, a registered charity.
She is also a Life Coach and counsellor.
For those qualified Holistic Therapists in need of a venue in Bournemouth, Anna offers her premises to run small group workshops or retreats.
Rosamund House is a modest and peaceful place, to simply BE, with a courtyard garden and a Summer House for quiet activity.
These tailor-made therapeutic holidays take place in a quiet retreat centre not far from the sea mid-way between Bournemouth and Poole. It is just about a ten-minute car ride to the sea or the town centres of Bournemouth or Poole where you will find a variety of shops and eateries. Poole may be second in size to Bournemouth, but it is full of interesting places like museums, craft shops and the oceanarium

We offer 3 or 5 day retreats, each day holding a Mindfulness Meditation session from 10am until 1pm.
There are currently 3 ensuite bedrooms, and a triple with separate bathroom.
We offer detoxifying healthy meals, but feel free to bring fruit or snacks of your choice on this short holistic break.
