Here at Rosamund House we offer enjoyable, relaxing holidays by the sea that will help you deal with depression and reduce stress whilst increasing clarity of mind and well being.

The basis of the retreat is Mindfulness Meditation from a metaphysical standpoint. It’s all about the truth - no woo-woo!

You are much more than you think.  Anna challenges you to look at who you really are, and provides you with the insight to do so.

Although this is a Christian-based retreat, it is open to all.

Come and gain insights from us then go out and make an impact.  You will learn Mindfulness Meditation both for your own benefit, and so that you can help others.

Awaken To The Benefits of Mindful Awareness

A Healing Pathway to Holistic Health

What Is Mindfulness Meditation?

Mindfulness meditation brings you to a space of total awareness; releasing, but accommodating sensory perceptions by focusing on the present.

Practitioners achieve this state by focusing their attention on their breathing. After a while, meditators gain physical increases in the number of neurons and neuronal connections in sections of their cortex. Those sections are: the right frontal cortex, related to concentration; the right insula, related to emotions; and the right parietal and temporal lobes related to touch and sound.

A recent study also demonstrates that after eight weeks, brain imaging showed reduction in the volume of the amygdala - related to anxiety and stress - and an increase in the number of neurons in the hippocampus, related to learning and memory.

The more you practise mindfulness, all the more will you recieve benefits.
Mindfulness can be used for your benefit on three different levels:
Benefits to Academics

In the world of Business and Academia, we need to be able to concentrate on the work in hand.

To concentrate is to be mindfully aware of what we are doing.

This is the reason companies and universities train their staff in mindfulness.

They reap the rewards.

Benefits to Mental Health

Anyone who has any form of mental health issues, for example, memory loss, Parkinson’s disease or senile dementia can benefit enormously from regularly practising Mindfulness.

It promotes neuroplasticity - the ability of the brain to change continuously throughout an individual’s life. The aim of neuroplasticity is to optimize the neural networks, neurons and synapses to change their connections and behaviour in response to new information, sensory stimulation, development, damage, or dysfunction.

Benefits on a Metaphysical Level

On a metaphysical level, Mindfulness is a way of getting to know who you really are:

Find the Essence of your Presence:

Consciousness - that Thing, without which we would just collapse into immovable blobs.

You take from this practice whatever benefits you seek

The Mindfulness Meditation Course

Enjoy the peace and relaxation of a therapeutic holiday by the sea while improving your health in body, mind and spirit.  The mindfulness meditation coaching takes place in the morning from 10 to 1pm.

As part of the mindfulness meditation programme you will learn the importance of breathing correctly in order to create a clear mind and a healthy body;  the benefits of neuroplasticity

Isn’t this a benefit of mindfulness meditation that everyone would want?
