Beyond the weekend you will be equipped to apply these mindfulness skills to each part of your daily lives.


Perhaps you have heard about mindfulness and are curious?


Mindfulness or, Present-Moment Lifestyle, is the best natural way to live a happy, fruitful life. Stress, depression and anxiety can be avoided by this method. I will share the secret to achieve this:

It is constant practice, formally or informally: you can either make time intentionally to do the meditation practice; or, simply direct your attention to what is happening in any given moment. For example, as you are brushing your teeth; making a cup of tea, or eating - whatever you are doing.


Do you find your mind wanders? Do you find it hard to stay focused on the task you are doing maybe at work? Do you feel its difficult to enjoy the moment, for example because you are worrying about other things in your life that have happened, are happening or could happen?

Life has its ups and downs but how we deal with them is the important thing. To stay resilient and to achieve your dreams with laser focus! Not only that, but also, this will bring you the clarity of mind and intuition to create the most successful life you can imagine!

If you consciously keep your attention focused on what you are doing, this present moment lifestyle will become natural sooner than you think, and it's pure Bliss!

To really benefit from this course its important to take some time out to reflect on your own personal situation. How are you feeling? What challenges are you facing?

To learn the skills of “Mindfulness”, i.e. awareness, consciousness, alertness, you have to be prepared to learn the process. This means coming to the coaching weekend with an open mind. Forget what you may have heard, or read, or images of people sitting cross legged on the floor. We will slowly work together to learn the pure essence of mindfulness and you will benefit from the moment our session begins.

What is...

What Is Mindfulness Meditation?

Mindfulness meditation brings you to a space of total awareness; releasing, but accommodating sensory perceptions by focusing on the present.

 

​Practitioners achieve this state by focusing their attention on their breathing. After a while, meditators gain physical increases in the number of neurons and neuronal connections in sections of their cortex. Those sections are: the right frontal cortex, related to concentration; the right insula, related to emotions; and the right parietal and temporal lobes related to touch and sound.

 

A recent study also demonstrates that after eight weeks, brain imaging showed reduction in the volume of the amygdala - related to anxiety and stress - and an increase in the number of neurons in the hippocampus, related to learning and memory.

Jon Kabat-Zinn, the founder of modern day mindfulness selected the attitudinal qualities of Non-judgement, Patience, Beginner's mind, Trust, Acceptance, Non-striving and Letting go, amongst others, which he considered to be important, not only to facilitate the learning process, but also to be quite naturally enhanced in the process of mindfulness practice. The MBSR courses he designed are popular in hospitals, universities and other such corporations.

Mental health issues can also be dealt with through the NHS by a referral from your GP to its MBCT programme created  by Mark Williams, to deal especially with depression or anxiety. The proviso here is an agreement between us - that you only book the mindfulness coaching weekend, if you are ready to learn about, and benefit from, the qualities of mindfulness which will stand you in good stead through any challenges that come your way.

The more you practise mindfulness, all the more will you recieve benefits.

It promotes neuroplasticity - the ability of the brain to change continuously throughout an individual’s life. The aim of neuroplasticity is to optimize the neural networks, neurons and synapses to change their connections and behaviour in response to new information, sensory stimulation, development, damage, or dysfunction.

The Mindfulness Meditation Course

Enjoy the peace and relaxation of a therapeutic holiday by the sea while improving your health in body, mind and spirit.  The mindfulness meditation coaching takes place in the morning from 10 to 1pm.  

As part of the mindfulness meditation programme you will learn the importance of breathing correctly in order to create a clear mind and a healthy body;  the benefits of neuroplasticity

About Anna 

Anna has been described by holiday guests as very pleasant and efficient but most of all, warm and friendly. It has also been said that she puts a huge effort into doing what she has to do.

As an experienced practitioner in many forms of holistic therapy, a Reiki master and ITEC qualified therapist, Anna is passionate about sharing her knowledge with others on the road less travelled.

 

She is a qualified Metaphysician and can regale you with insights on applied metaphysics.  

 

Anna qualified in mediation as well as conflict resolution and enjoys working in the Bournemouth Community Mediation Service, a registered charity.

 

She is also a Life Coach and counsellor.

 

For those qualified Holistic Therapists in need of a venue in Bournemouth, Anna offers her premises to run small group workshops or retreats.

Rosamund House is a modest and peaceful place, to simply BE, with a courtyard garden and a Summer House for quiet activity.

These tailor-made therapeutic holidays take place in a quiet retreat centre not far from the sea mid-way between Bournemouth and Poole.  It is just about a ten-minute car ride to the sea or the town centres of Bournemouth or Poole where you will find a variety of shops and eateries.  Poole may be second in size to Bournemouth, but it is full of interesting places like museums, craft shops and the oceanarium

We offer 3 day weekend retreats, each day holding a Mindfulness Coaching session from 10am until 1pm.

There are 5 guest rooms: 3 ensuite twin bedded rooms, one double ensuite room and one single with bathroom.

WINTER OFFER:

With approaching winter, and Christmas around the corner; not to mention the financial crisis we're experiencing; there will now be a discount of 10% on these 3-night weekend bookings until the Spring.  A weekend one or two-night coaching is now available at a daily rate of £110.

Booking Terms and Cancellation Policy

Over 14 days notice, the cancellation fee will be:   0% of the total booking value

Between 14 and 8 days notice, the cancellation fee will be:   25% of the total booking value

Between 7 and 1 days notice, the cancellation fee will be:   50% of the total booking value

Cancellations made on the day of arrival, the cancellation fee will be:  100% of total booking value.
